As the official dealer of Wirth Oktopus® vacuum lifters we provide genuine spare parts and servicing to the highest standard.

Whether hiring or purchasing a cladding vacuum lifter, all of our equipment is thoroughly checked and maintained by our in-house experienced and qualified engineers.

When a thorough examination is carried out – as required by law – it is completed strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's own examination scheme.

Our ‘in-house’ proof-testing facility enables GGR engineers to verify that each lifter will lift its certificated safe working load (SWL). Each is proof-tested to 50% above its SWL prior to dispatch. The test is recorded on the ‘Report of Thorough Examination’ issued with the lifter.

Unlike most suppliers who only carry out proof tests with the vacuum pads in the horizontal plane, GGR Cladding is unique in testing lifters in the vertical position.

This takes into account both the weight of the load and the friction between pad and load which can vary due to ageing, UV exposure but to name a few. Importantly, this is the position in which most lifters will be used.
